Young Cracks 5 Hits
Sunday, June 12th, 2011: It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Todd Young. It was a very special day, one that many players never experience. But he did. Young went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off Savannah pitching.

When the dust settled on the diamond at Bowling Green Ballpark, he had a career 5-6 day and something he will long remember. And the Bowling Green Hot Rods had a 20-13 victory over the Sand Gnats.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

T. Young hit an RBI single in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 5th and hit a two-run home run off J. Fuller in the 7th.

On the year Young is hitting .295 with 72 hits, 6 home runs, 41 RBIs, .374 OBP and has scored 37 runs.
