The 25-year-old first baseman put up a .309 average and a .413 on-base percentage, piling up 87 hits, 7 doubles, 1 triple, 20 home runs, 68 RBIs and 47 runs scored. |  | New York-Penn League Pitcher of the Year Named Tuesday, October 12th, 2010: The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2010 has been presented and the New York-Penn League winner is Curtis Petersen of Jamestown.
"It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Petersen. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Jammers star told reporters.
Petersen excelled with an impressive 11-4 record in 20 starts. In 126 innings he yielded 84 hits and 39 walks, while striking out 166 and compiling a fine 2.50 ERA. | | | | |
