Saturday, April 23rd, 2011: It's preseason time in the Appalachian League now and all statistics have been reset and the season schedule has been announced. Fans, executives, coaches and players are looking forward to the 2011 season!
#1 Batter Named by Appalachian League
Thursday, September 23rd, 2010: Pretty much all season Kevin Dubler was "in the zone" and had his way with opposing pitchers. The Sox catcher managed to stay there long enough to earn the Appalachian League Outstanding Hitter Award for 2010.

He assaulted APP pitchers for a .375 batting average, 78 hits, 11 home runs and 63 RBIs, while scoring 61 times.
APP Gives Outstanding Pitcher Award
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2010: 18-year-old Russ Kirk of the Elizabethton Twins put together a good year in 2010 for such a young player. Kirk was named today as the winner of the Appalachian League Outstanding Pitcher Award.

Kirk crafted an impressive 8-4 record and a 1.93 ERA. In 116.1 innings he allowed 78 hits, struck out 118, and walked 39.
