Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the Gulf Coast League Outstanding Hitter Award.
Choi hit for a .318 average while collecting 62 hits, 18 doubles, 2 triples, 10 home runs, 50 RBIs and scoring 59 times. |  | Top Pitcher Trophy Won by Pelicans Evans Tuesday, September 21st, 2010: High-pressure game situations don't seem to affect Dustin Evans, the bullpen ace of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. This season he was regularly put to the test and regularly made quick work of the opposition. In recognition of his dominance, the Gulf Coast League today presented the 2010 Outstanding Pitcher Award to him.
Evans appeared in 13 games and converted no saves in no save opportunities. The Pelicans star had a 10-1 mark with a 1.78 ERA. He also chalked up 100 strikeouts and walked 18 in 91 innings of work. | | | | |
